Decathlon Age Adjustment

This draft document explains the British Swimming Decathlon Competition.

A summary of the competition is indicated below.

 

All masters competition promoters are requested to submit the results of their masters meet to the Decathlon Co-ordinator.

 

Over each calendar year the best swim for each swimmer in each event is entered in to the Decathlon Competition.

 

The time for each swim is adjusted according to the swimmers age using an age adjustment Formula.

 

The adjusted time for each swim is used to calculate the FINA points for the swim.

For each swimmer, their 10 events with the best FINA points are used to calculate a total point’s score. N.B. there are T&C on how the 10 events are selected.
